Be nice to get a few more cars in if anyone wants to get their challenge entries complete/do one.

Going to write the building specs tomorrow for part 2 of the challenge.


Will also try and work on some break lights, and limit the steering ratio on speed. :)

Attach or send me the files in OBJ and TGA format and I'll put them in.

Working speed vs turning angle at the moment. Then to a brake light system, and then eventually to streamline the AI, so that I can give them classes, say small, sports etc for ease of input.

Then I'll be looking at better AI, with mulitple routes etc, so you can't knock them off their path as easy.


Maybe even traffic lights and traffic systems....I can dream :oops:

It'd be nice to have some more normal/average cars. Exciting ones, that arn't too "extreme" some classics for example

Not sure you need the wheels made of mesh, have a look at the model I made, and how I did it, will save you some polys for more shape on the body :)

I'd add more of a road colour at the bottom of the sides, as well as front and back, just a pixel of road colour so it looks like its raised. Currently the wheels look they're in the air

I just tried that and there's just a tiny snag, along the bottom of the sides it stretches into a different area of the texture and when the bottoms are blue you can't see it, when i make the bottom of the sides grey there is just a slight blue line underneath it which kind of negates that. Sorry about that, but hopefully it will still be alright.

try turning off the viewport filter too (that said, does the build run it with the blurring effect Gaz?)
