Pretty self explanatory. I'd like a collection of the -best- TED talks, if it's related to games then that's even better. But feel free to differ slightly if it's just something that's universally interesting.

One of the best talks I've seen to date:

Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity - 19:55

You don't need to watch it as such, if you're busy with something else I recommend just sticking it on as listening material. It's borderline comedy stand up, but he hits on some very interesting stuff to do with creativity, and how we grow out of it, rather than in. An excellent quote from it:

Quote:
If a man speaks his mind in the forest and no woman hears him, is he still wrong?

PLEASE don't just throw down links without any information.

I just watched this one and found it very intersting

David Perry on videogames - 21:07

Game designer David Perry says tomorrow's videogames will be more than mere fun to the next generation of gamers. They'll be lush, complex, emotional experiences -- more involving and meaningful to some than real life.

John Wooden explaining why knowing you did your best is more important than knowing your better than others. IMHO this is one of the keys to success and happiness.

A great piece on tutoring for writing, could we do the same think in Video games?

Dan Ariely - Are we in control of our own decisions? - 17:26
Very interesting talk about how we make decisions, and the way the brain perceives the world. Has a really cool example about colour composition.

Dan Gilbert on our mistaken expectations - 33:38
Great talk about how people suck at making good decisions, and the part statistics play in decision making.

Not philosophical, but pretty good; It is a very realistic 3D digital clone of "emily" using some unique camera setup, also at the end they've captured/immitated a bloke walking.

Control things with your mind!

I love the smile to go straight example :D
...imagine a society where you have to think happy thoughts to be able to go through a door, or drive your vehicle. Some people would never leave the driveway.
