Long time no see, where yooooo beeeen...?

Pretty cool, and nice to see you going back to the two tone colours, you do them very well. The biggest thing for me is the hands. You tend to exaggurate the width of the hand, and as a result, they often don't fit right around weapons. A few of the hands in this piece work well, but for the most part theres some odd-ness going on. It might be an idea to have a friend take some pictures of you holding brooms or branches in the same angle, just so you have a better idea of how the fingers might wrap around. Some of the hands look slightly backwards for instance.

Other than that, nothing glaringly off, and it's definitely a solid and imaginitive piece. Especially with the colours and lighting. Reminds me of the Bad Company 2 box.

Yeah it has been a while. Been busy writing draft dissertation and developing a games document; do you think this is the kind of thing people would crit on this forum?

Cheers for the pointers. All points noted. One good thing I've learnt is that I tend to use the line work for gestural positions then start working in fine detail quite soon after. I should definitely hammer out the finer details in the poses first.

bout time you posted something new up man you've been missing fromhere for along time haha...

really like it man but it looking very unoriginal but its getting hard to be original i guess. Your definately getting better at colour rendering man im going to get those lines done for you to colour cause id love to see what my drawing would look like if they were coloured propaly haha

all in all if that was a mutant donkey you was going for (i say this cause of the feet) maybe adding something to it to really set it apart from the ass we all know by giving it a real distintivre feature that will benefit it in that terrain or if its a donkey that has taken a few of the attributes of a camel which looks possible from how it looks as well... don't think that was what you was going for?

Where the hell have you been, foo?

Looks good! Although I think this is one of those paintings which would do well to lose it's white background. You'll add so much more mood to it if you had a gradient sky and a murky horizon line. Looks good though! Someones been practicing.

Cheers guys. I'll play with the design of the beast of burden, see how I like it. I'm planning on making this or something similar.

MKII. Took about 8-10 hours. I think I prefer the design of the first one. Seems more vulnerable; bit more character.

Give the latest one some reins (to tame that beast). I was thinking a muzzle but that's a waste of such a viscous design/offense.

Looks like a desolate place where he'd rather be riding something that'd protect him rather than fall asleep?

Cheers. I used to have a pet iguana; the scale variations come from that. Anatomically, it's a chimera but I was happy with the arms for front legs. I was thinking maybe a nose ring to control it or some eye brow piercings with a rein attached. A traditional bridal wouldn't fit a lizard. I'm going to draw up a few alternatives and see what might work. More soon.

So that's where you've been posting all this time. I like the Asian lady.
