why cant i see my direct x shader when i render??

I need help :cry:

one cant see the textured model in my render , cant see the diffuse cant see the normal nothing.

DirectX9 shaders in max only show realtime in the viewport, due to it being a hardware shader, not a software shader.

Aye, DirectX Shaders are for real-time view only. You will have a "Software Render Style" at the bottom of your Shader (in the material editor) though, which will take you to a standard material where you can add in maps to be viewed at render time. But if your shader is doing anything fancy like including some sort of "effects" map that controls areas like Specular/AO/Self Illumination etc then it becomes tedious to see the result in a render, as you'd need to generate those maps separately for the standard material.

If you are just using single files for the use of Diffuse/Normal Maps/Specular etc... then it shouldn't be a problem to 'emulate' the DirectX Shader in a render.
